Hybrid publishing questions authors ask
What is hybrid book publishing?
Hybrid book publishing gives you a professional publishing team while you keep full ownership of your book. With Cloversy, your book is published under your name and your own accounts, and we manage the editing, cover design, layout, platform setup, and launch for you.
How much does it cost to publish a book with Cloversy?
Our Copy Edit Package starts at $7,000 and our Developmental Edit Package starts at $10,000. Both include full publishing management. Prices are based on a 40,000 word manuscript, and we confirm your exact quote on your first call.
What is the difference between copy editing and developmental editing?
Copy editing polishes your sentences for grammar, spelling, consistency, and clarity. Developmental editing looks at the big picture, like structure, flow, and story. Our Developmental Edit Package includes both.
Who owns my book and my royalties?
You do. You buy your own ISBNs and open your own Amazon KDP and IngramSpark accounts, so your book and your royalties stay in your name. We complete the full book setup on both platforms for you.
Which formats and platforms do you publish on?
We set up your ebook, paperback, and hardback on Amazon KDP and IngramSpark, including pricing, keywords, categories, and your book description.
Do you publish fiction and anthology books?
Yes. We publish fiction, nonfiction, and anthology collaborations, including our own Six Figure Chicks anthology series.
How long does it take to publish my book?
It depends on your manuscript and the editing it needs. We map out your full timeline on your first call so you know every step before we start.
Do I need to know anything about publishing?
No. That is our job. You will learn as we go, one step at a time, with Mel guiding you the whole way.
